Teaching Time
You know what happens. You start to teach time with your class and each year and immediately you are banging your head against your Working Wall because they can’t recognise anything beyond ‘half past one’ and you don’t even attempt ‘quarter to’ for a while.
Below you will find the deep dive challenge time activities that were given to my Year 4 class this year. These were a daily collaborative challenge differentiated for each table group. Repetition, repetition, repetition! Deepening questions to encourage and nurture fluency and reasoning.
Of course, they can be amended for year groups above and below! Feel free to use (magpie) them and share them with your friends.
